Cremation habits in Texas
Roughly 55.7%[5] of funerals in Texas end in cremation. Where habits are mixed, a relative may worry that dividing ashes is disrespectful. It can help to explain that a pendant takes a pinch, the rest stays together and nothing stops you burying or scattering the main portion later. Put that way, most objections soften.

Mailing, dividing and scattering: the rules in Texas
Wearing ashes is a private choice, and Texas asks for no permit or form to keep a portion in a pendant or ring. The questions that do carry rules come afterwards: where the remaining ashes may be scattered or buried, and how a portion may travel if your maker is elsewhere. Can a provider from a neighbouring town collect from Houston?
